Introduction:
Canthaxanthin 10% Feed Grade consists of violet-brown to reddish-violet beadlets, with few white spots of food starch. The microencapsulation beadlets are manufactured with advanced spray and starch-catching drying technology. The individual particles containing canthaxanthin are finely dispersed in the matrix of gelatin and sucrose, coated with corn starch. Ascorbyl palmitate and mixed tocopherols are added as antioxidants.
Canthaxanthin widespread in bacteria, algae, crustaceans and insects, some fish and birds are also found in its existence, and through these creatures enter the food chain .
Egg yolk and broiler skin coloring is a natural process, canthaxanthin is one of the most important factor of coloring. Poultry can not synthesize canthaxanthin itself, but in the evolutionary process of obtaining canthaxanthin gradually have from food and deposited into the skin and fat in capacity.
